Hi all, I resolved this problem, i had to upgrade firmware of CotrolVault chip can download as Dell recommended. I can’t give w/swioe the exact error message because Windows 7 and the ControlPoint software is german but I think it wouldn’t help if i could, it’s just saying that there was an error Does anybody have a suggestion how to fix this problem?

I read somewhere that you need the TPM chip enabled to use the fingerprint reader, tried that but it did nothing for rboadcom. Dell Latitude, Vostro, and Precision.
The problem before is that the Broadcom USH effectively hides the fingerprint reader from the system, thus severely restricting it’s functionality unless the supplied software is used, which itself is pathetic.
